Friends of Horicon National Wildlife Refuge are a citzen-based non-profit organization formed in the summer of 2001 to promote conservation, awareness, and appreciation of the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge and to provide assistance to Refuge programs through fundraising projects and hands-on activities.

The Friends own and operate Coot's Corner, the refuge visitor center bookstore, and sponsor several refuge events each year, including a 5K run/walk and a reception for local youth who participate in the Wisconsin Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest.
