| Hometown Glass and Improvement, Inc. of Beaver Dam recently completed the construction of a new 3-season porch on the clubhouse at Harnischfeger County Park near Ashippun in southeast Dodge County. The 3 season porch was partially funded through a donation from Hometown Glass and Improvement, Inc. The entire project including sidewalks, window, door and siding replacements totaled $32,000 of which half was funded by the Friends of Dodge County Parks, Inc. from donations designated to the park. The 10’ x 47’ porch now provides handicap accessibility to the building along with additional space for activities and events such as weddings, company picnics, family reunions and the annual Winterfest, held the 2 nd Saturday in February. Harnischfeger Park, located along the Rock River, offers camping, miles of hiking trails, canoe/kayak rentals, mini-golf, disc golf, volleyball, horseshoes, ball fields and more and provides the perfect setting for family or group picnics.
