Our great building in downtown Mayville has a long history. It's one of the buildings in the "Music Block". It was once an implement store and later a "Coast to Coast" store. It has served the community as a gift shop for the past 15 years. More Info

Christmas Books

We're so happy to have Rochelle Pennington's new book "An Old Fashioned Christmas".  Lots of nostalgic remembrances and photos.  We especially like it because it includes a section on "Billie the Brownie", an elf invented by Schuster's Department store in Milwaukee.  He helped Santa and was a favorite of children who crowded around the radio.  The book includes a CD with excerpts of the radio programs.

We also have copies of Pennington's book about the "Christmas Tree Ship", the ship that annually carried Christmas trees on Lake Michigan to Chicago.

Christmas is coming!

Stop by to see our wonderful Christmas decorations.  Take time to enjoy our front windows. Come inside for more holiday cheer. Our Gingerbread house is up. It's a great place for kids photos.  Bring your own camera any time.  We'll take free photos several times during the season.

Christmas is sooner than we think!  It's always a good thing to start picking up gifts for those special people in your life.

Main Street Mayville, Inc. is sponsoring some great events for the season to bring people to town.  The Avenue of Trees is held at the Pavilion Nov. 28-30 and Dec. 5-7.  The annual Heritage Fest, complete with Ice Sculptures, Potato Tortes, a Parade and numerous other events, is December 13, 1-6 PM.  For more info, go to their photo album section:  http://www.mainstreetmayville.com/photoalbum.asp

Stop by and visit us during these events.
